What does STAMPS mean to you?
STAMPS is a community. It is a way to meet new people, make connections, and share ideas. You will meet new people and experience many unique opportunities, such as Science Everywhere and visiting Washington D.C. These are some experiences I will never forget.
What advice would you offer incoming students?
Get to know your professors. You’ll do better in their classes, and you won’t feel as stressed if you have a good relationship with them and you can reach out for help.
What is your research project?
I am currently working on a summer research project assessing the biodiversity in the UNCG wetlands. My aim is to see how the ecosystems have changed since being reestablished. In 2017, the wetlands were restored. Since then, new species have begun to make homes in these areas. Our goal is to compare the current invertebrate biodiversity of the wetlands and see if it has increased since the wetlands have been reestablished.
